Build and Lead a New Duct-Cleaning Crew

Green Home Solutions of Central Maryland is building a dedicated duct-cleaning team and needs an experienced professional to lead it.

You do not need to arrive NADCA certified. If you have hands-on air-duct-cleaning experience, mechanical ability, and leadership potential, we will pay for your training and examination to earn the NADCA Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certification.

This is an opportunity to do more than clean ductwork. You will help establish our processes, train a second crew member, maintain quality standards, and grow into the leader of an important service division.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $25–$28 per hour, based on experience
  • 2–4% of collected revenue from qualifying jobs
  • Additional pay after earning ASCS certification
  • Paid NADCA training, examination, and approved study time
  • Overtime opportunities when available
  • Advancement as the division grows
  • Company vehicle, tools, and professional equipment
The revenue incentive is earned when the customer has paid, required documentation is complete, and there are no workmanship-related callbacks or substantiated complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Lead residential air-duct and dryer-vent cleaning projects
  • Set up negative-air equipment and perform source-removal cleaning
  • Clean supply and return ductwork, trunk lines, registers, and accessible components
  • Safely operate air whips, brushes, vacuums, and agitation equipment
  • Create and properly close service access openings when required
  • Protect HVAC equipment, customer property, and occupied areas
  • Recognize damaged, internally lined, inaccessible, or unsuitable duct systems
  • Complete before-and-after photographs and job documentation
  • Explain the work clearly and professionally to homeowners
  • Train and supervise a duct-cleaning technician
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Coordinate with our indoor-air-quality and remediation teams
  • Help improve procedures, productivity, and quality control
Qualifications

  • Previous hands-on air-duct-cleaning experience
  • Knowledge of negative-pressure source-removal cleaning
  • Experience operating duct-cleaning and agitation equipment
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lead a two-person crew efficiently
  • Professional customer-service and communication skills
  • Dependable attendance and personal accountability
  • Commitment to completing work correctly and safely
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass applicable background and driving-record checks
  • Willingness to earn ASCS certification within the required period
Current ASCS certification, dryer-vent experience, HVAC or restoration experience, and previous supervisory experience are preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; work from ladders and in attics, basements, and crawlspaces; bend, kneel, and remain active for extended periods; and work around dust and debris while wearing required protective equipment.
